What calls cost
A minute of AI call time costs about one credit, and a typical towing call runs one to two minutes.
TowPilot bills for the AI Agent's time on the phone, in credits. One credit covers about a minute of call time, and a typical towing call runs one to two minutes. Most calls cost one or two credits.
Credits and dollars
The credits included with your plan come bundled in the subscription price. Extra credits typically cost $0.30 each, and your exact rate is shown in the Buy credits dialog before you pay.

Time after the agent transfers a call to your team is billed at half rate. That's why the transferred call above costs three credits, not four.
Put together, a busy day of twenty AI-answered calls is around forty credits — about $12 even at the extra-credit rate, and normally covered by your plan's monthly allotment.
Texts the agent sends
The confirmation texts and location links the agent sends cost 0.1 credits per message, about 3¢ each. A dispatch confirmation adds pennies to a call, not dollars.
Always free
- Voicemail — a call that ends in voicemail costs nothing.
- Calls that don't connect — busy signals, failed connections, and abandoned dials cost nothing; only completed calls are billed.
- Text threads customers start — an inbound text conversation is free, however many messages it runs to.
Checking a charge
Open a conversation from the Calls page. Its Summary shows the credits used, next to the date and time. That's the same number that came off your balance. Rates can vary with the AI model handling the call, so the figure on the call detail is always what you were charged.
